Art description: A bound record of personal finance, the passbook documented deposits and balances through in-person updates at a bank. Entries were mechanically printed, giving each transaction a fixed place within a growing sequence. Unlike digital accounts, it made savings visible and cumulative, allowing users to track progress through pages and ink. The object itself carried a sense of weight and continuity, reinforcing discipline through tangible evidence.
