(unframed print, 19 in. wide x 13 in. high)
$100 from each sale will be donated to WYSO 91.3, the Yellow Springs NPR affiliate, in support of the important community and reporting work the station produces every day.
Art description: A printed credential for live performance, the concert ticket marked entry into a time-bound, collective experience. Designed with non-decorative computer fonts, the venue details and seat assignments balanced function with anticipation. The act of tearing signaled transition from everyday boredom to an intensified sensory experience. Often retained as keepsakes, ticket stubs extended the event beyond its duration, serving as personal archives of sound and presence. As mobile passes replace them, physical tickets persist as artifacts of unforgettable times.
Print runs for this exhibit are limited to 5 each, hand-signed, numbered, and stamp-authenticated by the artist. Works are printed on 13”x19” or 19”x13” 100% cotton rag with deckled and torn edges, using a 6-color, high resolution inkjet process. Print is mailed in a protective mailing tube, and comes with an identification tag as presented during the exhibit. Shipping and sales tax included in print price. Image shown at left is from original digital file, not from actual print.
