Art description: A localized accounting tool, this card tracked newspaper deliveries and payments within a neighborhood system. Marked by grids and often punctured to indicate completed transactions, it formalized a small-scale economy built on routine and personal interaction. The exchange of payment at the door reinforced social ties between carrier and household, embedding commerce within daily life. Each mark on the card confirmed both service rendered and obligation met, creating a tangible rhythm of distribution and collection tied to the cadence of printed news.
Print runs for this exhibit are limited to 5 each, hand-signed, numbered, and stamp-authenticated by the artist. Works are printed on 13”x19” or 19”x13” 100% cotton rag with deckled and torn edges, using a 6-color, high resolution inkjet process. Print is mailed in a protective mailing tube, and comes with an identification tag as presented during the exhibit. Shipping and sales tax included in print price.
