Art description: Printed on inexpensive, brightly dyed pulp, these tickets were designed for immediacy rather than permanence. Their serratededges and perforations invite the ritual of tearing, an audible and tactile confirmation of entry. Each ticket functioned as a small contract, exchanged for moments of spectacle, risk, or reward. Distributed in strips or rolls, they circulated rapidly through hands, pockets, and booths, dissolving into experience as quickly as they were acquired. Their disposability was central to their meaning, marking time spent in a space where value was measured in sensation rather than duration.
